Guided Writer helps users assemble structured AI prompts and optionally request AI-generated drafts. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the website, how browser-stored drafts work, and what third-party services are involved.

1. Information You Provide

When you use Guided Writer, you may enter prompt inputs such as audience details, writing goals, example text, and draft instructions.

Specifically

  • We do not require account creation or login.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • If you contact us directly, we receive the information you include in that message.

2. Prompt Processing and AI Drafts

When you submit the studio form, your input is sent to our server so Guided Writer can assemble prompt blocks. If optional draft generation is enabled, the assembled prompt content is sent to the configured AI model provider to generate a draft response.

3. Browser Storage

Guided Writer stores some information locally in your browser so you can continue a session on the same device.

Specifically

  • Draft results may be saved in your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage.
  • Onboarding completion state is stored locally in your browser.
  • You can clear this information at any time by clearing site storage in your browser settings.

4. Hosting, Logs, and Reliability

Like most web services, our hosting infrastructure may create basic technical logs such as IP address, request path, timestamps, and error information. We use that information to secure the service, diagnose failures, and keep the app available.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate Guided Writer.

Specifically

  • Google Cloud hosts the web application and its supporting infrastructure.
  • OpenAI may process prompt content when AI draft generation is requested.
  • We do not use third-party advertising networks on the site.

6. Data Retention

Guided Writer does not currently provide user accounts or a server-side saved draft library. Browser-stored drafts remain on your device until you remove them or your browser clears them. Infrastructure logs and third-party provider retention are subject to those providers’ own policies.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can stop using the service at any time, clear stored browser data, and choose not to request AI-generated drafts. If you have a privacy request or believe data has been handled incorrectly, contact us using the information below.

8. Children’s Privacy

Guided Writer is intended for general audiences and is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Policy Updates

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature improvements or legal requirements. The most recent version will always be available at https://www.guided-writer.com/privacy-policy. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
